Lindgren's crash came when he collided with an opponent in the entrance to the first turn and was thrown off the motorcycle at high speed. Despite that, he drove on his spare motorcycle and accounted for 10 + 2 points in yesterday's win against Antonio Lindbäck's Zielona Gora.

The Swede believes he can already be in the next match which is on Sunday.

- I'll be fit for fight until then. I will be a little bruised for a few days and the wounds may not be able to heal. But there should be no danger in competing in the next competition, he says.

So far, Lindgren's Chestochowa has two wins out of two possible since the Polish league started. As for the World Cup series, much remains unclear and on Thursday the message came that there will be no World Cup competition in Sweden this year.

- They have said that there will be eight competitions, but how, when and where they are to be run, we have not received information about, says Lindgren.

The 34-year-old is happy that the speedway has still started in Poland.

- It is clear that it has been a difficult period. Especially when you didn't know if there was going to be any season at all. Now that we have got started and got started driving it definitely feels better.

How much has the corona break affected financially?

- We were hit pretty hard. First because it was postponed and then all the drivers in the Polish league had to renegotiate the contracts and lost a lot of compensation. But everyone has been affected by this, it's not just in the sports world, says Lindgren.
