A cliff collapse caused the death of a worker working on a site of the AS Monaco training center in La Turbie. The accident took place early Monday afternoon and also left a minor injured, we learned from firefighters and gendarmes who intervened on the spot.
"It's a cliff landslide. There is a site with machines in a rocky part and a rock fell, "said the departmental fire and rescue service (SDIS). The deceased victim, who was driving an excavator, was 56 years old, according to the gendarmerie which opened an investigation following this industrial accident: "a rock has come off, we have not yet explained" .
