Italy soccer coach Roberto Mancini urged riot attacker Mario Balotelli to "wake up" before destroying his professional career.

Balotelli's career seemed to be drawing to a close with his team, Brescia, due to his frequent absence from training.

"I told him a thousand times that he was wasting great talent," Mancini said in a television interview.

"I hope that one day he wakes up and changes."

Mancini has recalled Balotelli to the squad for the blue squad when he took office in May 2018, after their success together with Manchester City and Inter Italian.

Balotelli missed several exercises after first division clubs resumed training in early May, while the attacker claimed he was ill.

Last month, the Brescia president said that Balotelli's mind was "not with the club", which was in the last position, nine points from the rescue area, before the league was suspended due to the outbreak of the Corona virus last March.
