The fight lasted all five rounds and ended in the victory of the Blades. Two of the judges gave him four out of five rounds (49:46), the latter concluded that the American took three five-minutes (47:48).
For Blades, this victory was the fourth in a row.
Volkov lost the eighth fight in his career and the second under the auspices of the UFC. Prior to that, he was second only to Derrick Lewis.
