The Board of Directors of the Archery Federation, under the chairmanship of Major General Rashid Al Hamli, met with working referees who ran local competitions and external partnerships, through video communication, “Zoom”, to evaluate the referees ’march during the last period and to develop a vision to develop the arbitration system.

The meeting was attended by members of the board of directors: Rabee Ahmed Al-Awadi, Saeed bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Saif Rashid Hashil Al-Zahmi, International Governance Hassan bin Hadiya Al-Shehhi, and the technical director of the federation, Dr. Muhammad Amer.

In a press statement, the President of the Emirates Shooting Federation expressed his happiness with meeting the governors working in the federation, and said: “We are going through a difficult challenge, but we have succeeded in the spirit of the family in crossing many of the previous challenges. We in the Federation are proud of your international and local arbitration contributions, which have contributed greatly to the success and organization of past tournaments hosted by the state and supervised by the Union. ”

For his part, Chairman of the Referees Committee Rashid Al-Zahmi said: “We are proud of what the arbitration system has presented in our federation during the last period, including the arbitration leadership of the World Cup and the World Cup Final by 23 referees, as well as the Arab Championship in Sharjah 2019, which was praised by everyone.”

The attendees discussed the criteria for the referees' selection of international or arbitration tournaments, where the Chairman of the Referees Committee stated that they are chosen based on five criteria: “Arbitration competence, previous experiences (championships, courses, workshops), the desire of the referee himself, the possibility to devote to the referee, the geographical location of The place of the tournament.
