Mortada Mansour, Chairman of the Egyptian Zamalek Club, expressed his complete refusal to resume the Egyptian Premier League competitions for the current season.

Mansour said in statements carried by the official website of the Zamalek Club today, Tuesday: "The Egyptian Sports Minister's decision and his imposition of the Egyptian League is illogical."

He added: "When the number of deaths did not exceed two cases, the Egyptian state stopped the activity and upon the death of hundreds of people every day it is decided to return the activity? How is this? I will not accept that anyone would be harmed by the Corona virus for the benefit of Al-Ahly or any club that wants to return the league."

Murtada Mansour explained that 14 clubs refuse to return to the Egyptian League competition, and those who want to return should set up a mini-course and participate in it with themselves.

He continued: "The Premier League will not return, and the club committee meeting with the quinquennial committee has no value after the ministry's decision."
