Series dominance Bayern Munich against bottom team Werder Bremen - where the top team would finish the evening as champion by victory. Most of it spoke for Bayern to continue their victory in the Bundesliga, and so it was.
But it took a long time for Munich to actually take the lead, despite a large takeover. In the 43rd minute, Boateng found the shooting king Lewandowski with a long ball over the back line, who elegantly took the ball down and quickly set his 31st goal of the season.
In the second half, Bavaria continued to push and park for long periods on Bremen's half. But it would not be a goal-calling after all. But one goal was all that was needed to secure three points, and the title, for Bavaria, who now gets a wonderful trip home to Munich with another title in the baggage.
