In the season premiere on Saturday June 27, Vittsjö reigning champion FC Rosengård will meet. But it will be a match without the key player Tove Almqvist.
After two minutes of play in Sunday's training game away from Kristianstad, the accident arrived. Almqvist got into an imbalance and put his foot down while a Kristianstad player ran on her. She received a twist in her knee and was taken to hospital by ambulance.
- We have no idea what damage it could be except that she was insanely hurt, says Lotta Jonsson, board member of the club who was on the scene, to Aftonbladet.
Kristianstad won the match 2-1, following goals by Amanda Edgren and Jutta Rantala. Vittsjö's goal was made by Ebba Hed.
