Norwich City has announced that one of their players has contracted the emerging coronavirus, while the Premier League has declared another person infected.

The latest round of corona virus detection tests revealed that a player and one person were infected with the corona virus before resuming the Premier League season after only three days.

Norwich City is preparing to face Southampton next Friday in the first match of the team since the competition was stopped by the pandemic on March 13.

All players and members of the technical staff of the 20 clubs of the Premier League are subjected to tests of corona detection twice a week.

The latest round of tests, on June 11 and 12, showed that the number of infected people rose to 16 out of 8,687.

"In line with the Premier League protocols, the player will now undergo isolation for seven days before being tested again at a later time, as his test result should appear negative before training resumes," Norwich said in his statement.
