Not much is the same after the pandemic's entry. For Swedish football, this has meant waiting for the players and fans.

The plan was for Allsvenskan to have kicked off on April 4 - with the popular party it usually means. This year will be different.

First out was Djurgården who won against IK Sirius FK by 2-0. Prior to the match, a minute was held to honor those who died as a result of covid-19. And the audience had to settle for watching the fight on a screen.

- It's super-remarkable, but you have to do everything you can to bring up the adrenaline, says Djurgårdsbacken Erik Berg to D Play about the experience of playing without an audience in place.

More inspections

A pent-up football thirst - which this year is largely expected to be extinguished in sports bars and restaurants - now coincides with sun and heat, which may conceivably contribute even more to attracting people. At the same time, more inspections in the pub environment are awaiting during the premiere, reports Ekot.

- We have strengthened the control precisely because Allsvenskan is getting started. We suspect that there will be a lot more people at outdoor restaurants where they show matches, Peter Brådenmark, unit manager at the Environmental Management, to Ekot.
