Invited to Europe 1 Sports on Saturday evening, the president of Olympique Lyonnais Jean-Michel Aulas returned to the end of the Ligue 1 championship, which he strongly opposed in the midst of the coronavirus health crisis. While most of the other major European championships have resumed, he believes that "public opinion has completely turned around" on this issue.

INTERVIEW

"Public opinion has completely turned around," said Jean-Michel Aulas, three months after the start of the coronavirus health crisis. While the president of Olympique Lyonnais strongly opposed the stopping of the Ligue 1 championship, which was finally ratified in France, most of the other European countries have made the decision to resume. "I defended the general interest well," insists the leader at the microphone of Europe 1 Sports. "The consequences for French football are going to be dramatic, because our European competitors will surpass us a little more."
