Paris Saint-Germain's sports director Leonardo acknowledged this Saturday that both Edinson Cavani and Thiago Silva will not be in the French draw for next season.

"It was a very difficult decision to make. They are players who have marked the history of the club , but yes, we are reaching the end. We had to make a logical decision, even financially or with respect to the next generation," says the Brazilian in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche.

Leonardo confirmed that both the Uruguayan defender and the Brazilian defender will not be at PSG in the next campaign, as was already rumored, although he hoped they will help the team in the Champions League that is expected to be played in August.

"Maybe we are wrong, I don't know, there is never a perfect time. Now the Champions League is still in sight and the idea is to continue competing with them until the end of August," he added.
