Swedish elite football and the Swedish Football Association's medical committee have developed a comprehensive set of rules on how football should harmonize with the guidelines of the Public Health Authority.

Some require players to take responsibility. They themselves will fill out a form on match day, where they state body temperature and if they suffer from various typical corona symptoms. An arrangement that means that players must be honest about their health and not darken any symptoms to be able to play.

- I am not saying it will be easy, but I sincerely hope that people are honest in this situation. It's not about "I'll be tough and play even though I have some symptoms". It's about taking responsibility, as everyone else in society must do, says AIK's midfielder Sebastian Larsson.

"Hard border"

TT: How difficult will it be, do you think?

- It may be a difficult boundary, but I hope somewhere in the end that people realize that this is bigger than football.

Djurgården's Jesper Karlström:

- There you still have to take responsibility. As the situation is in the world now, I think no one has missed how serious it is, so I really hope everyone is mature and thinks a step further there, he says.

- We were some players who talked about it. The first thought is "I drive", but once you get there I still hope that you make sure you have an open dialogue with the physical and medical team

"Always a risk"

Karl Barrling, naprapat in Djurgården, has already encountered players who say "what, now the matches start, why should you say that you have a little sore throat?".

- You have to turn it around, and then maybe the toddler rolls down. But again, it is information, information, information that applies, he says.

If players may not tell you that they have symptoms, before important matches:

- It's always a risk. It's the same with concussions, for example. These are people we talk about, but we are allowed to give information and talk to them about the fact that the treatment in the event of a disease does not have to be so long. You can be back quickly, says Barrling.

TT: Does it make it easier for the government to open for anyone with symptoms to be tested?

- It does. We will still go on symptoms, but then you can get a receipt for whether you have it or not. Then maybe that test needs to be repeated several times, but it becomes one thing that we bring with doctors and such. Now it's still okay to test which makes it easier for us because we want the players back quickly.
