On March 12, the Spanish Football Association announced that it would be a two-week break in La Liga, due to the spread of the corona virus.

It turned out to be more than that. Not until tonight, June 11, was the game resumed. The first match was Sevilla-Real Betis.

Ocampos hit the bar

The match became an entertaining and chance rich story. Sevilla's Lucas Ocampo hit the bar after just over eleven minutes of play.

And it was Sevilla who dominated the match. But despite a few more chances, the first half became speechless.

Bartra caused punishment

That was not the case in the other. Already eight minutes into the second half, referee Matheu Lahoz pointed to the penalty, after Marc Bartra was too brusque against Luuk de Jong in the penalty area.

Forwards, the first half's hit hit, Lucas Ocampos stepped. And this time he shot inside the goal frame - and set the league's first goal since the break of the corona.

Seville league play

Only six minutes later came the second goal of the match, when Fernando Francisco Reges was able to nod 2-0 after a short hearing variation.

Sevilla's victory makes the team secure third place in the table. Betis is still in twelfth place.
