The Spanish Football Association (Liga) President Javier Tepas said today that Spanish footballers can live together in quarantine if the protocol to deal with the Corona virus continues. Barcelona defender Nelson Simedo trained today individually after attending a rally with more than 20 people in the town of Castelldefels earlier this week, while four Sevilla players were warned last May because of attending a barbecue.

La Liga competitions resume today after a three-month hiatus due to the epidemic, but in a "zoom" conversation with the global media, Tibas warned players that they might have to focus together to avoid further breakouts. "What we think is that if players continue to do this we will consider their mandatory focus," said Tepas.

He added: "We want to do this but during the past few weeks we saw that the clubs follow the protocols, but if we start watching three or four players in each club violate the rules, we will not have any treatment except their focus together." He continued: "We hope we won't have this, but if people keep going to barbecues and parties we may have to.

He said, "The League League has great confidence in the players by not focusing them together, therefore, please restore this confidence, and do not violate the rules as this is harmful to the League and the health of people in general."

Barcelona will visit Mallorca on Saturday, in search of expanding the difference between the two points separating it from Real Madrid. Simedo underwent testing of the Corona virus discovery along with his teammates today, especially since the La Liga protocol stipulates that the two players should be tested two days before the game, and if the result is negative, he will be allowed to return to participate in team training tomorrow.
