Al-Jazira Club announced yesterday that it has signed a contract with the Danish coach and strategist, Mads Davidsen (37 years old), to occupy the position of sports director of football at the club. Davidson came to the island from the Chinese club "Shanghai Sibg", where he worked as technical director of the club, and worked closely with international coaches, most notably the Swedish Sven Goran Eriksson and the Portuguese Vijash Boach.

"The hiring of Davidson is another important step for Al-Jazira Club, which works behind a unified and clear strategy for developing performance on and off the field. It is scheduled that Davidson will work closely with the coach of the first team of the Dutch soccer team, Marcel Kaiser, and with the management team on Reformulating and shaping the footballing philosophy and applying the latest and best methods and standards at the level of all age group teams in the club.

The academy and youth teams will be part of the responsibilities that Davidson will assume at Al-Jazira Club, in addition to the first team, and will also focus on developing an escalation system for young players.

Given the travel restrictions imposed by Virus Covid 19, Davidson will start his duties at the club from his residence in Spain, but he will move to stay with his family in Abu Dhabi when conditions are ripe for this. ”
