Today, Wednesday, the Al-Ahly club management sent an official complaint to the Supreme Council for Media Regulation against the president of Zamalek Club, Mortada Mendour and the Zamalek Club channel, because of what he called the Al-Ahly club: “his excesses, his length, his symptoms, and his false accusations against Al-Ahly officials.”
The complaint published by Al-Ahly Club on its official website stated that "the club was overburdened by ignoring many of the complaints it had submitted on the same subject, and left the President of Zamalek cursing this and insulting that, without being subject to the investigation authorities because of the parliamentary immunity that he protects against hundreds of The complaints that many have lodged against him are still locked in the drawers. "
The club affirmed in its complaint that "the Supreme Council for Media Regulation is responsible for obliging the President of Zamalek and others to the covenants of media work and not to deviate from the rules of ethics on the screens, in order to preserve the values of Egyptian society and not to be trapped among the sons of one homeland."
The complaint also included, "Al-Ahly and its officials were impatient to ignore the unprecedented violations of the President of Zamalek for nearly two years. Al-Ahly channel, through some of its programs, was forced to respond to the lies repeated by the President of Zamalek and refute the allegations and clarify the facts."
Al-Ahly's statement said: "The Al-Nadi channel handled all the files objectively without offense, insult or abuse to others, and did not resort to the same method as the President of Zamalek, and did not deviate from the media work covenants, which is the channel’s approach since its inception in 2008."
The complaint also stated that the Supreme Council for Media Regulation must assume its responsibilities to stop these abuses and hold the president of Zamalek and his media outlets accountable for this unjustified attack, before igniting discord among the masses at a time when the country needs every effort and solidarity from all.
