Having operated on his right knee in February, Roger Federer announced on Wednesday that he had recently undergone an arthroscopy of the same knee and that he will not finally return to the courts until 2021. "A few weeks ago, I suffered a setback in my rehabilitation. (…) As I did to come back in 2017, I will take all the time necessary to regain 100% of my means and be ready to play again at my best level ”, he explained on his account Twitter.

The Swiss, who will be 39 years old in August, alludes to the injury suffered four years ago, which had deprived him of all the second part of the year 2016. He returned to the circuit in a shocking way by winning the Australian Open in January 2017, beating Rafael Nadal in the final.
