The Egyptian club’s football manager, Sayed Abdel Hafeez, sent strong messages to Zamalek club president Mortada Mansour, in light of the crisis raised by the latter regarding the Century Club in Africa.

Sayed Abdel Hafeez told Al-Ahly: “Our problem with Zamalek is that it is not always at the level of Al-Ahly’s superiority, because we have been moving away from them long ago in ideas and management.”

He added: "When we say that Al-Ahly is the club of patriotism and dignity, they get angry and go to make banners, and they say the club of patriotism and dignity and also in relation to the club of the century, principles and other names."
