A news report stated that the Italian football club Brescia prevented its player Mario Balotelli from entering the team's training camp, in conjunction with reports that the club is seeking to dispense with the player's services. A videotape circulated in Balotelli, returning after he was denied entry.
The Italian news agency ANSA reported that striker Balotelli returned to the team's camp in Torbole Casalia, one day before the end of the medical certificate he had presented to justify his absence from the training, due to his suffering from intestinal problems.
The report indicated that preventing the player from entering the camp today, may have been the club's first reaction to the e-mail that the player sent to present the medical certificate, and informed the club of the continuation of the rest period as there was no training program ready for it.
In light of the club’s desire to annul Balotelli’s 29-year contract, a sports arbitration committee is expected to review the matter. Brescia said that Balotelli did not follow instructions that obliged the players to perform individual exercises in their homes during the general closure period due to the Corona pandemic, and coach Lopez expressed his grumbling that the player lacked enthusiasm. Balotelli joined Brescia last August after three seasons in France, where he played for Nice and Marseille.
