On Tuesday, the organizer of Wales Rally GB announced that the World Cup competition would be canceled due to the coronand pandemic.

"This is not a decision that was easy to make, but it is a decision we must make in light of the ongoing pandemic," said David Richards, president of Motorsport UK, which organizes the competition, in a press release.

Three competitions of this year's World Cup rally have already been run, including the Swedish rally, and for the championship to count, at least seven competitions must be performed. But after Tuesday's announcement that the British World Cup rally is set, which would run October 29 to November 1, only three competitions remain on the calendar, in Turkey, Germany and Japan.

In the past, the competitions in Portugal, Kenya, Finland and New Zealand have been canceled and the competitions in Argentina and Italy have been postponed.
