The Rose Ladies Series starts on June 18 and consists of a total of seven competitions. One of them will be played at Royal St Georges, where the men's British Open was scheduled in July before the corona pandemic put an end to the classic major.

Rose herself will be present when the men's PGA tour resumes without an audience in Texas on Thursday. However, the women's equivalent in the United States, the LPGA tour, does not plan to start until next month, while the women's European tour has its first competitions in August.

"I am fully aware that I now have the opportunity to return to work on the PGA Tour, but that benefit does not have the ladies," Rose told The Daily Telegraph.

The magazine writes that the pair Rose - Justin won the US Open in 2013 and the Olympic gold 2016 - contributes 35,000 pounds (just over SEK 400,000) in prize money to the series.

- It is sad to see that the ladies' European Tour has been hit so hard. It feels unfair to me. My wife Kate and I felt there was an opportunity to step up and help.
