  The Busan Group World Table Tennis Championship was originally scheduled to be held from March 22 to 29, 2020, but affected by the epidemic, it was temporarily postponed from September 27 to October 4 after two postponements.

  ITTF continues to advance the annual congress to be held on September 28, 2020. If the Busan World Table Tennis Tournament is postponed again, the annual congress will be held online instead.

  Once the final situation of the World Table Tennis Championships is confirmed, considering that the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games have been determined to be postponed, ITTF will conduct a comprehensive review of the original planned calendar for 2021 in the coming weeks.

  Regarding the arrangement of 2020 events, ITTF still hopes to host international public events in the last quarter of 2020; at the same time, ITTF has also begun to study the possibility of holding regional events or invitational events before that.

  With the active participation of the Athletes Committee, after close consultation, the ITTF Executive Committee has approved the adjustment of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Qualification System. After confirmation by the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee, the final adjustment plan will be announced.
