Emilia Fahlin has belonged to the French major team FDJ for over a year and has now extended the contract.

- I am very happy to have extended my contract. The decision to continue cycling and competing for another two years has matured in my head and I feel ready. The pandemic gave me time to think about what motivates me and my desire to compete, she says in a press release.

Fahlin crashed hard in 2019, which is why she has previously stated that she was not very sorry that the Olympics were postponed by one year.

"I could have recovered from the injury now but just to be able to do that little extra, which you want to do at an Olympics, I will find more time to work on now," she said.
