Professional wrestling star Danny Havock, whose real name is Grant Birkland, has passed away at the age of 34.
His death comes just two months after his wife, Brian Morrow, died of heart failure on April 4, according to reports.
The wrestling federation mourned the deceased with a statement saying: “With a sad heart, she mourns the loss of Grant Birkland, nicknamed Danny Havock.”
"Danny was a talented, smart, caring and honest person ... He was also an elite performer who enjoyed a generation of fans and inspired a generation of aspiring artists," the union added in its statement.
Danny Havock is famous for his participation in what are known as "death matches", which are controversial games, even among wrestling enthusiasts, because of the scenes of exaggerated violence.
