When allsvenskan kicks off, June 14 will be the first match since the Swedish Cup game at the beginning of March. Never have they played important competition matches so poorly prepared. No training matches have been possible and will not be played until the premiere.

On the other hand, the ladies who start their Swedish only two weeks later, June 27, will have the opportunity to play training from June 14.

- I see that as very positive, I think the gentlemen are a bit bitter about it. Preparation is important and even more important when aiming high as we do, says Zecira Musovic of the Swedish championship team Rosengård, to SVT Sport.

All Swedish law not bitter

But bitter does not seem on the men's side, not in Borås anyway.

- Now it is. It's about preparing for each workout and trying to see everything as a match. It is important to be ready and not find excuses for not being able to work because it is difficult and difficult, says Elfsborg returner Johan Larsson to SVT.

SVT's expert Daniel Nannskog is on the same line.

- It's not a place to whine now. It's about running 11 against 11 on training. Get it for internal matches, says Nannskog.

Advantage of the top team

Nannskog believes the top teams benefit most from missing training matches.

- Of course, it is an advantage for the big clubs with wider troops such as Malmö FF. You get quality at all points. Many of the top teams have two good players in each position and then you can play 11 against 11 with quality while some teams may have 13-14 players with really good quality and then you have to fill up with a little worse.

Djurgården's coach Kim Bergstrand reasons as Elfsborg's Johan Larsson:

- It's just driving. We must match ourselves in shape then. I see no problem with that. The most important thing is getting started, ”says Bergstrand.

Nor does the Swedish Football Association see any reason to complain that it will be competition games entirely without training matches.

- Not optimal in any way, but this is not a normal situation. We have to manage it in the best way, ”says Håkan Sjöstrand, Secretary General.
