Austrian media have revealed that the Austrian Premier League leaders, the Linz team, were punished with a six-point deduction of their score for violating the regulations of the Coruna Virus.

Austrian APA news agency reported that the Austrian League League discipline committee had been informed of Linz's punishment, because he had trained his team two weeks ago when it was only allowed to train in small groups.

Linz was punished with a 12-point discount, but the balance of all teams was halved at the end of the preliminary stage of the season when teams divided into two groups, each with six teams, where the first six teams play for the title, while the other clubs compete to avoid relegation.

With this penalty, Linz, who had 27 points from 22 games before the decision, was three points ahead of Salzburg, fell to second place by three points, behind his opponent (Salzburg), one point ahead of Rapid Vienna, and two points over Wolfsberger.
