The Spanish season was canceled on March 12 due to the corona pandemic. Recently the restrictions were eased somewhat and the two senior figures on the men's side - La Liga and La Liga 2 - have been able to resume team training in groups of up to ten people.

Now, competition matches also seem to be underway. Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez said in a speech on Saturday that "the worst is behind us" and that La Liga can restart the second week in June, ie no earlier than Monday, June 8.
