Veith tells ORF that there are several reasons why she quit, but admits that her body has taken a lot of blows. Veith has had a tough time with injuries and had recurrent knee problems over the past five years.

Veith's message comes just a few months after compatriot Marcel Hirscher, multiple world and Olympic champion, made the decision to set the point for his career.
