Duplantis took the athletics world by storm last winter and set two world records. He was focused on the Tokyo Olympics this summer when the corona pandemic paralyzed the world. It has hit Duplantis extra hard.

- I still don't have the right place to jump sticks on, so that part of the training is really awkward right now, because LSU (Louisiana State University) that I'm training at is completely closed. And it's actually the only place where I can really jump in Louisiana, ”Duplantis said in an interview with SNTV.

It is not possible to stay in the US if he is to be in shape until the races restart in August.

Open in Sweden

- I will be going to Sweden in a couple of weeks because I know that the facilities there are open. There I will have a place to train and can especially work with the technology exercises, says Duplantis who keeps up as well as possible.

A couple of weeks ago he participated in a stake duel from his own lush garden. That's all he jumped into something similar to competing since the magical inside season.

- I have a program that I'm doing right now, but it's just a little tough when you can't do the technical side of the program.
