Colombian Jarlinson Pantano has been suspended for four years for doping by the Anti-Doping Tribunal of the International Cycling Union (UCI), the UCI announced on Wednesday. Stage winner in the 2016 Tour de France, Pantano was convinced of doping at the EPO from an out-of-competition test carried out in February 2019.

The Colombian, member of the Trek team, was provisionally suspended in April 2019.

Four career wins

Pantano, 31, has four career wins since joining the world elite in 2015.

In addition to the stage success obtained in Culoz (Ain) in the 2016 Tour while wearing the colors of the defunct IAM team, he also removed one stage from the Tour de Suisse (2016), another from the Tour de Catalogne (2018 ), as well as the national title of the time trial in 2017.
