When the league was canceled, between nine and six matches remained for the twelve teams in the series. The Swedish team Chelsea was then second, one point behind Manchester City - which, however, had a match more played.

Sky Sports writes that the English Football Association, FA, has written to the clubs and announced that no more matches will be played in the two highest women's leagues this season. They should also have asked how the clubs want the season to end, and presented three options.

Two options with Chelsea as champion

The first two means that the table positions are determined by a point cut. In that case, that would mean Chelsea becoming champion. In one alternative, Liverpool would be relegated, and Aston Villa relocated from secondaries. In the second, no team would be moved down.

In the third alternative, the season would be completely canceled.

SVT Sport has sought Magdalena Eriksson and Jonna Andersson.
