Due to the corona pandemic, athletics competitions have been very few in the spring.

But tonight Henrik and Jakob Ingebrigtsen made their debut in Norwegian Stavanger, where five runners would run a street race over five kilometers, on streets that felt very far from the Diamond League arenas.

The goal for the brother radio was to beat Sondre Nordstad Moen's Norwegian record from Monaco last year, 13.37.

"Absolutely approved"

They succeeded, both of them. The fastest was little brother Jakob, who after a good finish ran in goal at 13.30 - the fastest Norwegian race ever.

"Absolutely approved," he told NRK immediately after the race.

- It was first and foremost very fun to get a number tag.
