English Premier League CEO Richard Masters confirmed that Liverpool will be allowed to lift the League Cup, but without the audience attending. Masters said in a press statement: "If it is possible to crown, yes there will be a celebration and the players will exchange the cup, we would like to have a ceremony to present the cup to reward the players and the technical staff for the hard work they did." He added: "We will do it only if this is not possible due to health concerns."
It is noteworthy that Liverpool leads 25 points from its direct competitor Manchester City and needs only two victories in its last nine matches, in order to crown an official champion for the first time since 1990, but his supporters who are waiting for this historic moment after a long absence, will not be able to celebrate with him.
