The 500 million that the government has intended for sports will compensate for loss of income from associations and special sports associations in Sweden. According to Björn Eriksson, this money will ensure that Sweden's associations remain.

- Sport suffers from quite deep tears in these wounds. We cannot answer exactly how much the various associations and associations applied for, but we did a survey in which we had 3,000 requested associations and came to the sum of SEK 1.2 billion. Then there are associations, so the amount as such is probably more a matter of survival than compensation.

"Doesn't look good for the third quarter"

4069 associations and 49 special associations have applied for part of the crisis package. The money will be divided into two pots, one for special federations and one for associations, but how the money is to be distributed after that will be presented on June 11, during the Sports Association's extra-board meeting.

- We have hired about 20 knowledgeable people to decide how the money should be distributed. There is some logic in the fact that the associations with many associations have bigger financial holes, so we need some time to be able to do it properly and fairly.

The crisis package applies to loss of income from March 12 to last June, but already everything speaks to the Riksidrottsförbundet will apply for more money in the next six months.

- It doesn't look good for the third quarter. At the board meeting on June 11, we must also decide whether we must, which I suspect, come back with applications for the third quarter as well. It is important to see when sports start to generate money themselves and when is the big financial direction. It is a safe hint that we land in search of more money for the third quarter.
