The agglomeration community of Amiens said Sunday it had in turn seized the administrative court of Paris to challenge the relegation of the club of Amiens in Ligue 2 after the cessation of the championship of France because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Metropolis seized the administrative court Friday "in support of the claims filed by Amiens SC," she said in a statement.

The club had indeed already seized Monday the administrative court of Paris to contest his relegation. Two applications, one on the merits, and one in summary proceedings were filed.

"Without calling into question the choice to stop the championship before its end, the club and the community unite to demand the withdrawal of this inappropriate decision, which is causing real and growing turmoil in the sports world and the public" , said the urban community in a press release.

Amiens SC, which was in its third consecutive elite season, was ranked 19th and penultimate at the time of the Championship interruption due to the coronavirus pandemic in mid-March.
