Giuseppe Conte gave the Italian Prime Minister the green light for the return of the Premier League clubs to full training starting tomorrow, Monday, as part of measures to ease the restrictions imposed to contain the spread of Corona virus.

Conte confirmed that football clubs can train on Monday alongside other games teams, but he did not reveal any details about the date of the resumption of the local league.

On Saturday, the Bundesliga became the first major European competition to resume activity after stopping due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

"There is a lot of pressure to resume the Serie A, but it is necessary to provide the highest safety standards," Conte said.

"Until we set a precise date, we will need more guarantees than are available at the present time, but from what I was told, we have not yet obtained them," he added.

The Serie A has been suspended since March 9, and no date has yet been set for the competition to resume, although the players return to training individually while adhering to instructions for social separation.

Italy is the first European country to be severely affected by the Corona virus crisis, and the Italian League was the first competition to be played without fans as well as the first major competition to stop.

Juventus are in the Italian league, one point behind second-placed Lazio, 12 rounds before reaching the end of the competition.
