While football is gradually resuming its rights in mid-May, tennis, it seems, has decided to play the card of caution. The ATP and WTA circuits will remain frozen until the end of July, the governing bodies of men's and women's tennis announced on Friday 15 May. The circuits were previously suspended until July 12 inclusive. The rankings remain frozen.

The ATP has extended the suspension of the ATP Tour through to July 31, 2020 due to the ongoing # COVID19 pandemic.

Professional tennis has been completely stopped since mid-March. Roland-Garros, scheduled for May, rescheduled its tournament in late September, while Wimbledon announced the cancellation of its 2020 edition scheduled for July. The US Open remains scheduled for the moment in New York from August 31 to September 13.
