The Italian club Sampdoria has announced that its four players who were confirmed with the newly infected Corona virus last week have now recovered.
"Sampdoria announces that the four players who had had positive Corona virus tests earlier, were examined twice as scheduled and the result was negative," the club of the coastal city of Genoa wrote in a statement.
Since the players returned to individual training on the fourth of May this year, it has been announced that four other players have been infected with the "Covid-19" virus, one in Turin and three in Fiorentina, in addition to three members of the latter's medical-technical staff, all of whom have been quarantined.
The clubs proposed Wednesday, June 13, as the date for the resumption of local league competition suspended more than two months ago due to the Corona virus, after agreeing on a health protocol to resume group exercises. While the government expressed its caution against the hasty in the resumption of activity and did not take its decision regarding the resumption of competition.
Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora gave the green light to resume group training on May 18.
The most sensitive issue on the road to the possible resumption of competition is the commitment of the clubs to quarantine the entire group and the members of the technical staff, for a period of 15 days, once a positive situation emerges.
