Paris Saint-Germain with Barcelona entered the contracting race with Bosnian Miralem Pjanic, the Juventus midfielder during the current summer transfer window, French and Spanish media reports said Thursday.
French radio "Monte Carlo" reported on its website today that Saint-Germain, who was recently crowned French champions after canceling the current season due to the outbreak of Corona virus, is looking to strengthen his ranks next season.
The famous radio revealed that the Brazilian Leonardo, the sports director of Saint-Germain, called Pjanic to ask him to join the French capital team.
For its part, the Spanish newspaper "Marca" stated that Pjanic will not be the only player targeted by Saint-Germain in the summer, noting that the French club is also watching Timo Bakayoko, the Chelsea player currently loaned to the Monaco team, and Hossam Awar of the Olympic player Lyon.
Marja added that Pjanic (30 years old) expressed his welcome to join Barcelona, noting that he is ready to leave Italy after spending the last eight seasons with the teams of Rome and Juventus.
The newspaper, issued by the Spanish capital Madrid, revealed that the talks between the departments of Barcelona and Juventus were smooth, adding that there is a common interest in contracting several players.
She added that the appearance of the Parisian team might hinder the completion of the Pjanic transfer deal to Barca, which was progressing relatively quickly.
