According to the Lokomotiv press service, the club’s board of directors decided not to renew the contract with Semin, which expires on May 31.

It is noted that the new head coach of the team will be Serbian specialist Marko Nikolic, who will take office on June 1.

Semin has led Lokomotiv since 2016. Prior to that, he worked with the team from 1992 to 2005 and from 2009 to 2010. Under his leadership, the team three times became the champion of Russia, six times - the owner of the Cup of Russia, three times - the Super Bowl of the country.

Earlier it was reported that Semin could still agree to a position in the structure of Lokomotiv.
