Damallsvenskan was forced to postpone the start and now they are waiting for news regarding the two new proposals starting at the end of June / July or mid-July.

For Kif Örebro, time in uncertainty posed major financial problems, something Nerikes Allehanda was the first to tell. Now one hopes for games during the summer.

- We want to get started as soon as possible, financially for us, the worse the longer it goes. We are prepared to play in front of empty stands, as long as the Public Health Authority gives clear signs, ”says Kif Örebro's chairman Fredrik Stengarn.

"The big pins are on the partner side"

One of the reasons why Örebrolaget wants to come into play is that there is a need for sponsorship money that is currently in frozen agreements pending a start date.

- What we see when we look at our papers is that the big pins are on the partner side, it's clear. Audience revenue is tough to lose but the partner site is the toughest.

- It's partly companies who want to know when the series gets started, will there be any matches and thus if there will be any exposure to these companies? This means that we have agreements that are more or less frozen. Then we have other companies that, with what happened, have chosen to hold back their money. Of course you understand that. The crane for partner money is off, you might say.

Applying for compensation to the National Sports Association

One proposal that is also available is a single series, something that Piteå's chairman Rikard Fahlman told SVT yesterday, but it can hit Örebro a lot.

- The proposal for a single series puts us in a scenario where we have to engage in dialogue with our partners and halve exposure. In a "double series" we can maintain our partner agreements that we have and the promises we made with exposure. So that's why we advocate a regular series.

Like many other clubs, Örebro is currently preparing the application to be submitted to the Riksidrottförbundet (RF) no later than May 15 to receive compensation. But there the club can neither count on missing partner money or media agreements.

Örebro will apply for a compensation of one million, but Fredrik Stengarn does not dare to believe in full compensation.

- Given that the money will not be enough, I dare not believe it. If we get the whole amount, I would be surprised, of course, but that would be good. But we can say that we are not alone in this situation. We already see that the money coming from the government is too little.
