Olympique de Marseille unveils its plan on Monday to reimburse supporters who were unable to attend the last games of the season canceled by the Covid-19 pandemic, offering them a credit, a refund or the possibility of renouncing it to donate to the club.

According to documents consulted by AFP, three possibilities are left to 33,000 OM subscribers and spectators who had already bought a ticket for one of the last five meetings at the Vélodrome, including the shock against PSG. The summit match represents between 3 and 4 million euros in revenue alone, according to concordant sources.

A credit valid for 18 months

Fans can benefit from a credit note, valid for 18 months, corresponding to the value of their tickets or in proportion to their subscription over the five home matches not contested (PSG, Dijon, Nice, Monaco and Metz). The credit is for an equivalent service, therefore a Ligue 1 match, and not the Champions League.

Authorities have not yet decided whether the matches will be able to accommodate spectators next season or will be played behind closed doors, but the 18-month deadline makes it valid until the first half of the 2021-2022 season. Supporters can finally waive reimbursement to help financially the club. In this case, the club undertakes to donate 20% of this money to the OM foundation. If they give up these two possibilities, spectators can get their money back after 18 months
