FIFA President Gianni Infantino is fighting a legal battle with two Brazilians claiming ownership of a spray used by referees in soccer matches, and are demanding massive compensation for using it without their permission.

Pablo Silva and Heine Almain are calling for the imprisonment of FIFA leaders - including Infantino - between one and four years, for using the spray without obtaining their approval and violating intellectual property laws because they have a patent for this spray.

Referees began years ago using the spray to determine the distance between the ball and the human wall when implementing the violations, an addition that ended many of the cases of controversy in the matches because of the lack of respect for the legal distance between the ball and the wall.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that the Brazilian duo filed a lawsuit before a Brazilian court four years ago, and a ruling is expected in the case in the coming days.

Silva and Almain called for the famous Brazilian lawyer Cristiano Martins - who succeeded in the release of former Brazilian President Lula da Silva - and demanded compensation worth forty million dollars from FIFA.

The pair confirmed that they had agreed with the previous FIFA administration to use their product for forty million dollars, but the agreement was not implemented despite the launch in the use of spray in the major official matches starting from the 2014 World Cup.

Silva and Almain won a first ruling in Brazil banning the use of the spray, but FIFA has resorted to changing the brand of the spray currently in use.

The duo insist on winning the case, and plan to file a new lawsuit in the United States of America, in order to restore their rights.
