It was yesterday that Dynamo Dresden in the German Second Division announced that the club was affected by two new corona cases and had to put the squad in two weeks quarantine.

Despite the new corona falls, German top football will resume just as planned on May 16.

"There is no reason to question the whole season," says league association DFL chairman Christian Seifert.

- It has always been clear to me that this could happen when we are the start of a restart.

Dresden should have met Hannover on May 17 but the match has been postponed. It is currently unclear when the match will be played.

The Bundesliga football, the two top leagues, will be the first European series to resume the season following the outbreak of the pandemic.

The matches, which are scheduled to start on May 16-17, will be played behind closed doors and a maximum of 300 people, including both teams' troops, are allowed to stay on the stadium. Prior to the restart, all clubs were forced to have a one-week quarantine, which they could use as a training camp.
