The newspaper confirmed that Sefer Toktas, who played for the Bursa Yildirmspor team, a club in the city of Bursa province in the northwest of Turkey, confessed to his crime 11 days after the death of his son. She revealed that the little boy was admitted to a local hospital on April 23, due to breathing difficulties and high fever.
Soon, the doctors isolated the child and his father, as they suspected he was infected with the Corona virus, especially since the symptoms were similar to "Covid 19". After that, the father called the doctors to his hospital room, claiming that the little boy could no longer breathe, so the boy was quickly transferred to the intensive care room, so he died two hours later.
On the surface, everyone, including the local authorities, believed that the death was a natural result due to difficulty breathing, but after 11 days of the incident, the player visited a local police station, and admitted that he had killed his son while he was in hospital by suffocating him with a pillow.
According to the newspaper, the perpetrator said in his testimony: I strangled him with the pillow for about 15 minutes, and when I felt he was motionless, I summoned the doctors. From the day he was born. " He added: I do not have any mental problems, but I did not love him at all.
The killer was arrested, and he was imprisoned pending his trial, as in his case the law provides for his life imprisonment, and the child's body was subjected to medical anatomy.
