The Olympics have been moved until next summer and forced the equestrian sport to move at the European Championship. But with much else in the calendar, the decision was made on Friday that the championship should be canceled.
- I would have gladly done both if I could. Had it been three months between competitions it would have been no problem, but had it been three weeks between it would have been tight.
Moving the championship to 2022 was no alternative, as the World Cup in Denmark is then decided. The cancellation of the European Championship is a decision that the Swede was aware would come.
- When the Olympics were moved it was pretty clear to me that there will be no European Championships. It is boring but understandable somewhere. But it would have been good, since many will not be able to participate in the Olympics, because it is hard about the qualifying places. It gets pretty empty for those nations that are not qualified for the Olympics.
