The head of the Handball Federation, Mohamed Abdel Karim Julfar, said that "his lack of candidacy for a second electoral cycle is due to his desire to allow the young men to take over the leadership of the game." Julphar said, in a press statement, that he is ready to provide his full expertise to those who request it in the coming stage, both at the level of clubs, federations and sports bodies in the country.

The head of the federation added: “The sports arena is full of qualified young elements, with great experience and able to take over the helm of federations, especially since my decision to move away from the presidency of the hand union came to my full conviction of contenting itself with what I presented to the game, in a march that spanned nearly 40 years, but this step It does not mean that I am completely away from sport, in light of the concern to continue in other positions, whether local or international.

He continued: "My decision does not mean evading responsibility, because I am keen on continuing my relationship with those of determination. Being the vice chairman of the Dubai Club of People of Determination, as well as my long relationship with this segment of the country's athletes."

He added, "I am currently a member of the AFC Handball Board, and continuity in this external position is subject to the vision of the Emirates Hand Board in its new electoral cycle."

On the candidacy of the Federation's Secretary-General, Nabil Ashour, for the position of President of the Federation in the new session, Julphar confirmed that Ashour, the son of the game, said: “He has experiences that qualify him to fill this position, and he has good relations locally and abroad, and I see in him the young competence able to lead the game.”

On his assessment of the period in which he assumed the presidency of the Federation, he said: "We succeeded during the current session in implementing nearly 90% of the strategic plans, and it was remarkable to increase the number of clubs to 11 teams." He said that the only negative side is that competition is limited to specific clubs, and that All clubs intensify their interest in the game, which will inevitably benefit the national teams.

The sports field is full of young, qualified, experienced personnel who are able to take the helm of federations.
