Aston Villa CEO Christian Perslow said the Premier League was determined to end the interrupted season due to the Corona virus pandemic, but was "not close" to finding the formula that would help achieve this.

The Premier League stopped in mid-March due to an outbreak of the Coronavirus, which has killed more than 30,000 people in the United Kingdom.

The teams discussed plans to resume the season next month "in neutral stadiums", but the association could not go ahead with the matter until the government decided to make changes to the restrictions on public exclusion.

"We are not close to finding a formula for the completion of the season ... I knew that the government wanted the return of football. I am still standing beside the season completion theory, but the question is when and where? And not?"

Aston Villa is in the penultimate position, and Brasloo previously said that not completing the season would cost the descending teams a loss of 200 million pounds ($ 246.42 million) each.

"Yes, of course I must protect the interests of my team, but the responsibility of all league clubs is to come up with a formula for completing the season that we know will not be perfect, but it will bring football back to the end of the season," he added.

"Everyone should know that all 20 clubs should be satisfied and that is what we need to lead at the moment."
