Daniel Nyman has informed the nomination committee that he is not running for re-election. Nyman was proposed for re-election of the nomination committee, which he first accepted.

- I have the idea that you should not sit for too long. Then I thought about running for another term, but I have withdrawn it, which I informed the Nomination Committee. I've been around for six years and hopefully I've done some good, but there are certainly shared opinions about it, says Daniel Nyman to SVT Sport.

The union meeting should have been held last week. However, due to the corona pandemic, the meeting moved to mid-June. Until then, the nomination committee needs to find two new candidates after the termination.

- If we can have that is the next question, it depends on the authorities allow us to gather in a larger company. Otherwise, we have a backup date September 5-6.

It was in mid-April that SVT Sport revealed that the board went to the United States during the Indy car finals for SEK 300,000 of the members' money. The union's auditor criticized the trip and suggested that the board should not be given discharge. And earlier this week, SVT Sport was able to reveal that the criticism was about alcohol notes and that members had to pay part of their relatives' expenses during the trip.

However, Daniel Nyman defends the trip and thinks it was a good decision by the board to go to the US.

- It was a joint decision on the board that we would go to the US on a study trip. Everyone thought it was a great decision. We had top riders (Marcus Ericsson and Felix Rosenqvist) in the Indycar series and Rasmus Lindh coming from below. We saw it as interesting to see how they do business in the US and then we combined the trip with board and strategy meetings so as not to put two weekends in a row.

How do you view criticism from the auditor?

- The auditor may actually have whatever view he wants, but may have been guided. I know that letters have been received to the auditor to look at different things. Then I have no opinion about it but the accountant has to focus on his assignment and draw his own conclusions, says Daniel Nyman and continues:

- But in the audit report it was never stated that the study visit was the main purpose. Without it, it appears that we traveled to the United States to have a board meeting, and it seems crazy. But in a combination, it was for the board to earn a weekend.
